This wasn't a regular mass! Five Parishes combined had closed 4 of their churches (Mar Narsai Parish in San Francisco and Mar Yosip Parish in San Jose and Mar Addai Parish in Turlock and Mar Gewargis Parish in Ceres) to have a joint mass of 5 Parishes . As Fellow Assyrians are aware this Diocese has been waiting for a NEW! Bishop for over 3 years, as His Grace Mar Odisho Urahim was appointed temporary Bishop for this Diocese...

Today was a New Beginning, a new Bishop was Ordinated. Cor-Bishop David Royel was appointed this month by UNANIMOUS Vote of the Holy Synod of the Assyrian Church of the East, to be the New Bishop of this Diocese of California. Today His Grace was Ordinated to Mar Awa Royel California Diocese  Bishop........
